Mangkaja Arts is funded through a range of Government agencies. Other operational income is derived from commission from sales.
Mangkaja came to Web Prophets with a tight budget, but with the need for a website to promote the artists and art of the region as well as the online sales of some items.
Web Prophets part sponsored the development of this website; extending Mangkaja’s budget to meet the requirements of the organisation which includes an on-line gallery, artist profiles and product sales using Paypal payment system.
The exhibition area of the website includes an online exhibition area, a shop and a listing of Upcoming Exhibitions for the Art Centre.
The development of the website and customer relationship was manage remotely; with Mangkaja staff being located in Fitzroy Crossing and Web Prophets staff being located in Melbourne.
